**Spoilers****This title alone made me want to read this book. Who doesn't want to fall into the arms of a cowboy wearing tight Wranglers and a black hat (no shirt required)? You know what? Now that I think about it, I realized that after living in Texas for 3 years I have not seen one guy in tight jeans and a cowboy hat. Or I haven't noticed any. That's quite depressing. I must get out more. Anyway, I got this read during my free Kindle downloading spree.
I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I liked this book. I guess that I can come to the conclusion that it was just alright for me. It was a short one so I read it in a day.
Into the Arms of a Cowboy starts off with Cassandra Carlisle running from a murder she has just committed. This is the part that irks me. It was completely self defense. She should have known that. Anyone reading would have known that so I don't understand why she runs like she's guilty of killing an innocent person. But she does run and wants to get far away from the "crime" she has committed.
Then we meet Jess Logan (the Cowboy) who describes himself as a simple man on his way back from a Rodeo. I have to say here that Garth Brooks singing Rodeo was in my mind the entire time I read this story. Ugh I still can't believe I haven't seen any hot cowboys around here. He eyes Cassandra walking into the diner, bruised and shaken, and right away feels rage for her. Of course Cassandra sees him freaks out after she notices he's staring at her and that there are a couple of cops in the diner as well and she flees. She ends up in the back of a truck hoping to get farther away. And like a good romantic story, the truck belongs to Jess.
"Faced with the woman he's fantasized about for the last hundred or so miles, Jess found himself at a loss for words."
Now of course she has to see him in action and learn that at night he's a rodeo superstar but he also has an interesting day job which makes that difficult for her. I liked in the story that she stays after he's had a bit of a fall and helps him back to health as well as help him nurse back to health a couple of critters. The attraction between the two is obvious from the start and you know it won't be long until the two give into their hidden desires for one another. Let's face it. If you were taking care of a cowboy how hard would it be to keep your hands off of him. For me...I'd give it a least five minutes. Wouldn't want to rush anything.
Their first kiss was hot with the help of an ice cream bar. Must remind myself to put some of my grocery list.
"The hell with ladylike, I've never wanted any man as much as I want you."
Then finally we have the love scene which could have been better if the word femininity wasn't used. It's like using the word throbbing manhood. Just say what it is. Go ahead. We'll like it. No one will judge. Don't get me wrong though the scene was hot and sweet at the same time. In fact, I wanted more. I wanted to know what would happen to them after that and where their relationship would go after.
I won't spoil anymore and the fact that I've written more than I intended too for this story makes me think I liked it more than I think I did. I give it a 3 out of 5 for the hot cowboy.

Into the Arms of a Cowboy edition by Isabella Ashe Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book was awesome. It had me laughing and it made me cry a little about the baby raccoon and I loved how the romance developed. This book I would highly recommend if you like stories thatl
are so enjoyable and have extra time because you will not be able to put it down.
I loved this book. It was a very sweet story that pulled at my heart. My favorite quote from this book was "You don't stop loving a person just because you're angry at her. And I have to admit, your intentions were noble." Cassie, and Jess both pulled me right into the story, and I feel in love with both of the main charactors. I'm thankful I read this book!
After escaping a rapist Cassie skips town becuase she killed the man. She runs right into Jess who is a sheriff. he knows she's keeping something big from him and yet he is ready to protector from it if he needs to.
i've read one other book by Ashe and she doesn't disappoint. looking forward to reading more from her. she has a great voice.
Good story and characters, didn't guess the ending regarding the "murder". In keeping with my new rule, I only gave 3 stars because of the lack of editing. I am so tired of lazy writers ruining their own books by not checking them before publishing. Author must have gotten tired in the middle of the book where all the errors were. A simple spell check would have solved the problems. Would have given 5 stars if the book was proofread.
What a cute story...never mind that is was totally predictable and a little fantastical- I had a hard time believing that someone is THAT nice to strangers. Jess and Cassie had good chemistry and their dialogue was enjoyable. Good plot flow. My only complaint was Cassie's behavior towards the end- highly predictable, so I was hoping to be surprised. Overall the story was good and I recommend it to anyone who is a sucker for a sweetheart cowboy and damsels in distress!
Not a bad book, just not great. Very predictable with a hero & heroine I just couldn't gel with. The premise that Cassie ran after killing her attacker seemed a bit far fetched since it was obviously self defense, and she seems a bit juvenile for the experienced Jess. Jess fell awfully fast for a woman he never really knew, seems to me he really just wanted a little woman around the homestead, barefoot and pregnant. The love scenes were sweet, the popsicle one was just over the line to hot, but mostly they were pretty tame and very vanilla.
Several grammatical errors topped off this just OK read, but even with those fixed, I wouldn't be inclined to increase my rating.
I have to admit, I find it hard to completely enjoy a story in which I'm not fully engaged with either the hero or the heroine. In this case, it was the heroine; I just found Cassie to be rather immature.
It bothered me that she wouldn't be honest with Jess. I felt like this was where a lack of maturity came into play. Spoiler alert, but I'm trying to be careful -- even without the evidence that we learn about later, it would have been easy to prove self-defense in Cassie's case. The first time Jess saw her, she was bruised and battered, and obviously frightened. Although it might have altered the story drastically (but not necessarily in a bad way), I just kept saying, "Just tell him! He's a good guy, let him help you!"
If I had liked Cassie more and not found her a little weak, I'd have given this a higher rating. Having said that, it was a fairly enjoyable read; Jess made the book better.
