One of the best thriller books I have ever read! Kept me so interested with unpredictable twists and turns! Plus no vulgar language or sex which was nice. Made for an enjoyable easy beach read I thoughorlly enjoyed!! Ordered more of his books! I like his style and the way he writes with some humor and current word plays.

Tell No One Harlan Coben 9780440236702 Books Reviews

Like many readers, I really like to read Harlan Coben’s suspense books. But I must admit that I am less enthusiastic about the stories built around the Bolitar character. His other novels are fiendishly clever with surprises and suspenseful development that keeps me turning the pages. With this book, I tended to lay it aside and come back to it later when I had lost the flow. It never really grabbed my attention in a compelling way. Of course my difficulty in giving my sustained attention to the book was not just because of a lack of interest but because of complications in my own schedule.
this is the first book that ive read of harlan coben's and after reading it, im definitely interested in reading more! my boyfriend recommended it after remembering it so well after reading it a few years ago, so i knew it would be a good one especially since he is not the "reader type". just like he said, this book is definitely a page turner. i knocked it out in only 36 hours while working a full time job and taking care of everything else, i havent read a book that made me dread putting it down since FSOG! the reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because there were times in the book when i felt disappointed with the way the author made some of the "action scenes" in the book AND i predicted the ending of the novel, as well. i had a good feeling since 1/4 of the way through the book who was guilty and in the very end when the "bad guy" does what he does, i predicted that, too. other then those issues it was great! cant wait to read more!
I wanted to read a suspenseful, well-written book that had been well-edited. Tell No One fit the bill. The writing is mostly plot driven, not dependent on characterization or reflection as many British thrillers are. It is the original Gone Girl, but doesn't have the nasty revenge thread for the plot. This girl didn't want to disappear. The plot is feasible, but overly twisty at times. I am sure it made a great movie. I am ready to read The Stranger which is Harlan Coben's latest release.
Well-plotted action with likeable characters makes this an easy but interesting read. This is my first novel by Coben, but I will definitely read more. Mostly told in first-person, the novel relates the aftermath of a husband's life eight years after the murder of his wife when the neatly devised solution begins to fall apart. The shift in point of view the author used gives the reader more information that Beck, the protagonist, did not have; the author used the technique sparingly which makes it fairly effective without being distracting. The end had a nice twist which neatly wrapped up the various subplots. While not entirely believable, the novel didn't ask me to entirely suspend faith in reality just to enjoy the story. Great literature? Perhaps not, but definitely entertainment.
Harlen Coben is easily my favorite storyteller, hands down. His stories are so unique and intriguing. There is so much going on, but he blends everything together so seamlessly, and although the plot is CRAZY (in the best way possible), it also sounds very believable because of the effort Coben takes to fact check things in the character's professions. He uses adequate terminology and jargon to make it feel as though a real doctor or lawyer (or whatever professional) is telling the story. With all the various twists and unexpected turns, it is impossible to put his books down! This one in particular was an edge of your seat thriller; exactly what I'd expect of Harlen Coben ) seriously guys, the story reads like a movie! So interesting, and sooo much going on, but never once does it feel confusing, or like the author is jumping around too much. Transitions between characters and plot twists are executed beautifully!
I usually don't write 5-star reviews because I don't read them and I don't think many people do. But I have to leave a 5-star for one of my all time favorite books.

I had never heard of Harlan Coben and happened to see a signed copy of this in a bookstore. I bought it just because it was signed and the story looked good. Yes, I am THAT shallow. ) This is one of those books that I keep handy and read again and again and again....

Lots of others have described what the book is about. I'll just say that I read a lot. I am rarely shocked. The ending of this book had me GOBSMACKED. It was amazing.
